PURITY

Healthy Living Grounded Serenity:
Embrace Tranquillity in Daily Life

 May 22-26, 2024

In this module, we explore the essential foundations of living in essence connection, beginning with preparing our physical vessel to hold higher levels of consciousness.

Drawing from the technology of Hatha yoga and the philosophy of Patanjali, we emphasize the importance of Saucha—purifying both body and mind—to cultivate optimal conditions for experiencing our true nature and manifesting it in our daily lives.

Recognizing the body as our fundamental vehicle for expression, we understand the necessity of maintaining its purity, free from stress and tension, and brimming with vitality to live purposefully.

Throughout this module, we explore how our daily habits, intentions, and consumption—both physical and mental—shape the groundwork for progress and connection or, alternatively, lead to separation, tension, and stress.

By cultivating awareness, making conscious choices in our day-to-day lives, and creating purity that fosters clarity about ourselves, we establish the foundation for grounded serenity.  This empowers us with the energy and power to live in the world through essence connection.

Main subjects taught in this module:
  • Fundamental aspects of the spiritual path according to the Tantra tradition: Bodha (Liberation) and Bogha (Healing).
  • Three conditions for advancing on the path and living harmoniously:
    • Reducing toxins
    • Balancing energy
    • Cultivating witnessing consciousness
  • Principles of Asana Practice: Creating conditions for higher awareness according to the Patanjali Yoga Sutra and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika.
  • Practicing Yama (Yogic ethics) for mental health:  Interacting with the world in alignment with higher values and universal vibrational laws to eliminate inner conflicts and promote peace of mind.
  • Pratyahara and the art of relaxation, grounding, and centering: Creating conditions for energy balance and emotional well-being.
  • The practice of Saucha (Purity):  Ayurvedic detox and nutrition principles, cleansing techniques, according to Hatha Yoga
  •  A daily physical and mental routine for yogic mindful living according to Yoga and Ayurveda.

ENERGY

Radiant Resonance:
Harnessing Inner Power and Elevating Vibrations

 September 25-29, 2024

In this module, we delve into the energetic anatomy of the human body, empowering you to work effectively with your energy for profound healing and liberation.

By cultivating a deep understanding of the chakras (energy centers) and Nadis (energy channels), we create a free energy flow, fostering inner power, vitality, confidence, and emotional well-being.

By removing blockages and imbalances within these energetic pathways, we address underlying mental and emotional issues, clearing the path for a more profound essence connection.

Additionally, we explore the awakening of Kundalini Shakti energy for liberation, elevating our vibration, which leads to heightened awareness and full realization of our true nature.

Drawing from ancient hatha yoga, tantra yoga traditions, and modern energy healing approaches, we explore techniques to release mental-emotional blockages and harness our inner powers.

Working with our energy enhances our sensitivity to the subtle layers of our being and enables us to perceive reality in a broader, more profound way, ultimately leading to a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment.

Main subjects taught in this module:
  • Energetic Principles: Exploring the body’s energetic anatomy in different traditions like Hatha Yoga Pradipika, traditional Tantra teachings, and modern perspectives, and the primary keys to working with our energy.
  • The Five Koshas: Deepen your understanding of the holistic nature of being through The five layers of existence, known as Koshas.
  • Ida and Pingala Nadis:  Create perfect balance through the two main energy channels: Ida- the feminine, and Pingala – the masculine.  Learn how to work with them to regulate the nervous system, moving from action to relaxation and from doing to being.
  • Sushumna Nadi and Preparing for Kundalini Awakening: Prepare for Kundalini Awakening by awakening Sushumna Nadi, the central energy channel in the spine.
  • Awakening Kundalini Energy: Dive into the profound Tantric practices for awakening Kundalini energy, unleashing the profound power within.
  • Harmonizing Chakras and Emotions: Discover techniques to awaken and balance the chakras, fostering emotional equilibrium and facilitating a harmonious flow of life energy.
  • Practicing Pranayama: Engage in the practice of Pranayama to enhance energy flow, deepen your connection to inner power, and elevate your vibrational frequency.

HEART

Gentle Harmony:
Cultivating Self-Love and Emotional Balance

January 22-26, 2025

In this Module, we comprehensively examine Buddhist psychology, Yogic principles, and Tantric practices to sublimate our mental-emotional affliction and enhance emotional intelligence.

Our intention is to overcome emotional obstacles and cultivate self-love and harmonious relationships in our quest for liberation from suffering.

Frequently, illusions cloud our perception of reality and trigger ego-driven reactions.  Resulting in a spectrum of disturbing emotions, including but not limited to anger, melancholy, and anxiety, all while fostering an absence of self-compassion.

This cycle of suffering serves as an obstacle, hindering our ability to find our center,  often leading to misguided actions and misunderstanding in our relationships with others.

By connecting to the wisdom of the heart, we illuminate the illusions, free ourselves from attachments and aversions, and enhance the power of emotional intelligence. By nurturing loving-kindness and self-compassion, we rise above negativity and interpersonal strife.

As we practice Karma and Bhakti yoga, we tap into the inherent wisdom of the heart and gain sensitivity and alignment with our inner essence.

From this place of harmony, our interactions with the world become effortless, guided by the profound understanding that arises from cultivating self-love and emotional balance.

Main subjects taught in this module:
  • The Three Poisons: Explore ignorance, attachment, and aversion—the root causes of suffering in Buddhism and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Learn techniques to free yourself from negative mental patterns such as anger, criticism, laziness, and insecurity. Drawing from the Buddist text The Way of the Bodhisattva.
  • Samskaras and Mental Conditioning: Examine the concept of Samskaras, psychological conditioning shaped by past experiences. Explore methods to break free from the influence of past conditioning and cultivate a more liberated mindset.
  • Karma Yoga: The path of selfless action outlined in the Bhagavad Gita. Explore how practicing pure actions can lead to spiritual liberation, ego dissolution, and the cultivation of virtues like humility and compassion.
  • The Four Immeasurables: Embrace qualities of emotional intelligence according to Buddhist teachings, including loving-kindness, compassion, and gratitude.
  • Bhakti Yoga: Explore the path of unconditional love and devotion, as outlined in texts such as the Bhagavad Gita and Narada Bhakti Sutras. Discover how nurturing love and intimacy with the world can purify emotions and deepen the connection to essence.
  • Santosha and Finding Contentment:  Reflect on the concept of Santosha, contentment, as part of the Niyamas (personal disciplines) outlined in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Learn techniques for finding contentment within yourself and your life, transcending the illusion of happiness.

MIND

Mindful Mastery:
Sharpen Your Focus and Calm the Monkey Mind

March 26-30, 2025

In this module, we’ll delve into applied philosophy and time-tested techniques for cultivating mental clarity, enhancing focus, and embracing a sense of present-moment awareness amidst the complexities of modern life.

Our mind, a powerful instrument shaping our experiences and ability to navigate the world, can either serve as our ally or adversary. Or, when left untrained, it may lead to confusion and a sense of disconnection.

Through the study of yoga citta (the nature of the mind) and Raja Yoga, we understand the different states of the mind, how it works, and how it influences our thoughts, emotions, and actions.

By cultivating a state of detached observation—commonly referred to in Buddist teaching as witness consciousness, we can observe thoughts and emotions without becoming entangled in them and reflect on our inner and outer experiences.

This leads to not only insights into our patterns, conditioning, limiting beliefs, and habitual behaviors but also paves the way for higher states of consciousness and samadhi (the state of absorption).

Delve into the nature of consciousness, and learn how to master your thoughts. Exploring various meditation techniques—such as shamata and vipassana, Mantra, and more—we develop skills to quiet the mind, improve concentration, extend attention span, and gain clarity.

By aligning our mind with our inner essence, we pave the way for personal growth and spiritual evolution.

Main subjects taught in this module:
  • Understanding Authentic Spiritual Practice: Exploring Patanjali’s teachings on genuine spiritual practice and its role in achieving liberation.
  • Mastering the Mind: Analyzing the nature of the mind and strategies for overcoming its afflictions to cultivate a positive and supportive mindset.
  • Cultivating Witness Consciousness: Developing the ability to observe thoughts and emotions objectively to enhance mental clarity and insight.
  • The Three Levels of Mind Training in Raja Yoga: Delving into Dharna (concentration), Dyana (meditation), and Samadhi (liberation) as outlined in Raja Yoga philosophy.
  • Bhāvanā in Buddhism: Exploring Samatha (tranquility), Vipassanā (insight), and Trekchö (cutting through) as practices for mental development.
  • The Four Levels of Mindful Contemplation: Understanding mindfulness of the body, feeling, thoughts, and the concept of mindfulness according to Buddhist teachings.
  • Practical Meditation Practices: Exploring various meditation techniques from ancient and modern traditions, including active meditation, guided meditation, contemplation, visualization, metta, and their respective benefits.
  • Mantra and Sound Science: Discovering the transformative potential of mantras and sound vibrations in elevating consciousness and promoting inner harmony.
  • Niyama Svadhyaya: Exploring the practice of self-study as part of the Niyama, focusing on introspection and self-reflection.
  • Niyama Tapas: Understanding Tapas (heat) as a practice within the Niyama, emphasizing discipline and commitment to spiritual growth and self-improvement.
